THE BENEFITS OF DIRECTIONAL BORING
Ideal for many types of soil conditions and obstacles.
Directional drilling can be done under almost any surfaces including concrete, driveways, roads, sidewalks or in a variety of terrains like dirt, clay, rock, sand and even wetlands. Traditional trenching wouldn't be possible in a number of these scenarios.
Preserves the integrity of the existing landscape.
Using traditional methods of installing underground pipes, a trench would have to be cut into the ground the full length of the pipe. Concrete would need to be cut and landscaping would need to be dug up to access the pipe's route. Directional drilling eliminates the need for unsightly excavation and saves expensive landscapes.
More cost effective than traditional methods.
If new pipe needs to be placed under roads, sidewalks or driveways, using traditional methods would require the concrete to be cut the length of the pipe. Similarly, trenching a lawn damages expensive landscape. Removing and replacing concrete or landscaping is a major expense that can be avoided with directional boring.
Reduces Construction Time
The use of a directional bore requires less equipment and fewer man hours because the process is much quicker than open cut excavation. Minimal impact to roads, sidewalks, driveways and lawns also means time is saved restoring damaged concrete and landscapes.
